Integrated Studies

This could be made up of the following.

  • Look for bugs in the back yard and talk about different parts of the bugs

  • Talk to your grandparent about what school was like for them

  • Where dose milk come from

  • Look after you pet on a daily basic

  • How to clean and look after your teeth

If you haven't completed this than please do so this week! (week 5)
We will be presenting these next week in small groups.

Choose someone from your family to interview. Try to make it someone who is a lot older than you are. It might not be someone in your house, you could ask mum or dad for help to call someone.

Ask them about the changes that they have noticed from when they were little.

Prep-
How has school changed from when you were little?
What did you play with when you were little?
What did you do for fun when you were little?
Ext: Students can think of their own questions

Grade 1/2
Come up with your own questions, about 5 or so.
These could include questions from above or questions about Toys, technology, transport, life, houses etc.

Once you have your questions, make a poster, Power Point or other presentation that you can share with Miss Cornell and Mr. Baker during week 5. Include: who you interviewed, what you learnt, what things are the same, what things are different.

  • Where is Sovereign Hill?

  • How did they recreate Sovereign Hill?

  • Name 2 different ways to find gold.

    • Which way do you think would be the best way? Why?

  • What kinds of shops are at Sovereign Hill?

  • What is one of the tours you can go on?

    • Which one would you choose?
