As you know from your Toolbox Work Report, a statement of intent outlines your intentions for a project and sets clear goals upon which you can determine the success of your project. You will begin your F Clamp Work Report by producing a statement of intent relevant to this project. Below is a list of topics that should be covered in your statement of intent:
What are you making? Describe it...
Key features?
Throat depth?
What materials will you be using? List them in sentence form...
Reference the materials list for the project.
What processes will you be using? What tools are required for those processes? List them in sentence form...
What machines and hand tools are required, and what do you use them for?
What experience do you have with the materials, processes and tools that you will be using for this project? Explain this in detail...
Did you do Metal in Year 8? If so, have you used any of the tools listed above? Are you confident with them?
Have you used a Mig Welder before? Was it at school or home? Are you self taught or has somebody taught you?
Do you have any personal goals you would like to achieve during this project? Explain them...
Explicitly state these goals in sentence form.
How will you achieve your goals? Whose help will you need?
