On Thursday, 11th September, the Year 10 Youth Ambassador Team led a range of activities to support R U OK? Day.
They created a raincoat decorated with positive messages and a yellow photo frame, inviting students and teachers to take pictures and show their support. The team also ran a lolly-guessing competition, shared mental health statistics, and facilitated discussions on how to support friends. Additionally, they coordinated the creation of a mural filled with R U OK? messages from the school community. Throughout the day, they promoted meaningful conversations and helped raise awareness about the importance of checking in with others.
As their first major leadership initiative, this group demonstrated incredible maturity, enthusiasm and organisational skills to help spread always important message of R U OK? Day, "A conversation can change a life!"
