Bayanami Public School uses the following platforms and resources to support communication with our families and the broader community:
Our school website provides important information about our school and includes useful links to Department of Education resources and policies. We encourage you to spend some time navigating through this site to familiarise yourself with its contents.
Skoolbag is a communication tool which we use regularly to provide up to date information on school based events and important messages. Skoolbag can also be used to notify the school when your child is absent.
It is essential that all families download the Skoolbag app here. Instructions on accessing the app can also be found here.
At the beginning of the school year you will be provided with the email address of your child’s teachers. Please use this as the main communication tool to ask questions or make appointments with your child’s teachers.
Boomerang Folder
The boomerang folder is used as a communication tool between school and home. It must remain in your child’s school bag at all times.
In addition to the above digital platforms, you may receive notes from school about special events and educational initiatives. These will be placed in your child’s blue boomerang folder.
Boomerang folders are also used to share work samples or resources. It’s important that you check your child's boomerang folder each day. If you would prefer to hand write a note to teachers then please place them in the boomerang folder.
