Click the link to sign up for Onshape Education. This is a CAD program which models/designs are drawn in. These designs are then exported as a dxf file to be sent to adobe illustrator.
Ensure you use your education email. eg. john.smith@education.nsw.gov.au
Click the link to sign up for Adobe Creative Cloud Education. Adobe Illustrator is used to convert the dxf file into a cut, engrave or outline file that Job Control the laser cutting program can read.

Job Control is the program which runs the Trotec Laser. There are serial numbers which are needed to be installed on the computer. Find these with the information & cleaning kit stored with the Laser.

Open Illustrator
File - New
Width 600mm, Height 400mm - Advanced options - Colour Mode RGB
Create
To Cut
Select object using ‘selection tool (V)’
Click on the Black rectangle next to ‘Stroke’ (right hand side)
Select ‘Color Mixer’ Change R to 255, G to 0 and B to 0
Change ‘Stroke’ size to 0.03mm or 0.025mm
Object is ready to cut
To Engrave
Make sure object is black
If it is not, select object using ‘selection tool’
Click on the Black rectangle next to ‘Stroke’ (right hand side)
Select black
Object is ready to engrave
To Outline
Select object using ‘selection tool’
Click on the Black rectangle next to ‘Stroke’ (right hand side)
Select ‘Color Mixer’ Change R to 0, G to 0 and B to 255
