The Rule of Thumb:
Author, Title, Publisher, Year, Page number/s.
For Websites, add the date you accessed it, and the date it was written. If that information isn’t there, don’t use that source.
If a source does not have:
a bibliography
a date
and an author’s name
Then DO NOT USE IT.
All captions need:
NAME of the designer (life dates optional, year of birth / death only)
TITLE (or simply ‘Untitled’ if that is accurate)
DATE in brackets (1978)
MEDIUM (what it is made from, except buildings, which need a LOCATION)
SIZE (except for buildings)
COLLECTION (where it is from) AND/OR the source of the image (such as, ‘photo by John Gollings’ or ‘Courtesy the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney’)
Cover page with task title, name, date, course and teacher name.
WIDE MARGINS – at least 3cm in all directions
DOUBLE or 1.5 spacing between text.
Caption reference all images.
Normal text: Font size 12 Times New Roman or equivalent
Subheadings: Font size 14 and Bold
Add page numbers
Proofread it twice, and have someone else read it BEFORE you submit it.
