How to add Elective PD on eTAMs:

1) Go to https://etams.nesa.nsw.edu.au and sign in with your account number and password.
(Handy hint for you and your staff – save your NESA number as a contact in your phone)
2) Click "Maintenance of Accreditation" in the left hand side menu bar, more options will appear underneath this. Click Elective PD in this list.
3) On the right hand side, click the pink button with "+Add Elective PD"
4) Complete the following fields:
Activity Name
Activity Type – select the type of activity from the provided list
Start and End Date using the calendar tool
Duration Hours and Minutes
Select a minimum of three Elective PD Criteria that the activity addressed by ticking the check boxes. (Note: check boxes only appear once the Elective Activity details have been filled in.)
Optional: if “Professional Reading” is the activity selected, you will need to write a statement in the comment box about how it impacted your teaching practice and tick the declaration box to declare it meets the Professional Reading activity criteria.
Select the Standard Descriptor/s that apply to the PD (choose from Proficient, Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher)
Write 300-1800 characters in the comment box explaining how the activity addressed the Standard Descriptor/s (a minimum of 300 characters is required)
5) Save a draft at any time by clicking the "Save Draft" button
6) When completed click the "Add Elective Activity" button. A message is displayed: “Your Elective PD activity has been added…”
Your PD Progress Report will update automatically with this activity.
