From time to time, staff will approach you with questions or issues related to ICT matters that need to be actioned. Why would you do this? Quite often if people are asking you to fix things, they don't articulate the problem correctly and you may even forget to see them later as it was a conversation in passing. This will ensure that people realise you are busy too and there is a process in place to maintain organisation.
DCO Activity Tracker
To help you keep a log of what tasks you have been completing in your role as DCO, we suggest you utilise an activity tracker. Click the link to see a suggested tracker template.

DCO Activity Tracker Samples
To help you to visualise what your work may look like, the DCO from a Proof of Concept School has shared the activities they provided for their school and the activity log they completed.
Sentral - Issue Tracking
If your school has Sentral, computer and technology problems can be logged through an issue tracker which organises tasks for you. You can respond in there, and keep a task open until it is solved and close the case. This will also give you data on how many hardware/software problems you had to complete in any time period. To set up an Issue tracker on Sentral, follow the instructions given in the link provided.

Alternate Issue Logging - Technical Assistance Forms
If your school doesn't use a platform such as Sentral you can choose to use a form developed using the tools available to us in the DoE, Google or Microsoft.
Clicking the links below will create a template file for you to utilise and publish to your staff to help them log various ICT issues.
