In this lesson particularly, it is important to establish clear class expectations and recognise the fact that this is a sensitive topic. For us to learn and discuss about bullying effectively, please follow these guidelines below supported by the Department of Education.
Listen to each other's ideas.
Stay on task.
Be respectful of different opinions.
Keep sensitive information relating to the group, within the group (such as people's names, personal information and/or circumstances).
If you feel uncomfortable participating in any of the activities, tell the teacher.
Avoid using individual names in examples when discussing bullying.
If you feel distressed by any of the activities or discussions, tell your teacher (and/or a trusted adult).
