What will I be learning in this unit?
In this unit "Building Positive Relationships", students will be learning, discussing and practicing ways to strengthen and manage relationships to achieve respect and equality. During adolescence, it can be a rollercoaster with many physical, emotional and social changes occurring. Students will learn their rights and responsibilities in relationships, as well as explore the impact of bullying in online and offline environments. The topics that will be covered in this unit also include:
Changing nature of peer and family relationships
Rights and responsibilities of different relationships
Online and social protocols to protect safety and wellbeing
Forms of bullying, harassment and violence
Responsible and ethical use of social media and technology
Seeking help in different situations
