Term-I (108 Learning show case)-2025
The 108 Learning Showcase – Term I was held on 29th May 2025 at the school’s multipurpose hall. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to display their learning outcomes through creative models and posters. Each mentoring group was asked to prepare one product or design that reflected what they had learned over the course of the academic year. The event showcased the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and applied learning.
All mentoring groups participated with enthusiasm, and a wide range of topics were presented. From my mentoring group, two posters were displayed: "Your Waste, Your Responsibility" led by Muskan Rai and Tshering Choden, and "The Cell" led by Youthen Thie and Abir Rai. Although these posters were not the most eye-catching or outstanding compared to others, they reflected sincere effort and understanding of the topics.
The poster on waste management attempted to link the theme to broader ideas such as Gross National Happiness (GNH), economy, and responsible resource use. Similarly, the science-based poster on the structure and function of the cell showed a basic grasp of the content. Both teams could have improved the visual presentation and clarity, but the process of preparing for the showcase helped them engage deeply with the subject matter.
Through this experience, my mentees learned important design principles, researched their topics, and developed collaborative and communication skills. Even though their posters did not stand out visually, the students demonstrated growth in terms of research, teamwork, and the ability to express ideas in front of others. It was a valuable experience for their academic and personal development.
In conclusion, the 108 Learning Showcase was a meaningful event that encouraged students to reflect on and present their learning in creative ways. For my mentoring group, it served as an opportunity to practice research, design, and presentation skills. While there is room for improvement, the showcase helped build a stronger sense of teamwork, ownership, and learning through doing.
