Mentoring Night 2025 – A Night of Collaboration & Talent! ✨
On March 29, 2025, Drukjegang Central School successfully hosted its much-anticipated Mentoring Night under the theme "Building Collaboration Among Mentees and Mentors, Showcasing the Innate Potential of Every Member." The event provided a vibrant platform for students to exhibit their talents in front of their parents, teachers, and the community. It was a night filled with creativity, passion, and growth, where every participant had the opportunity to shine and showcase their unique abilities.
Our mentoring group actively participated in the event by performing a Tibetan dance, which was a result of weeks of dedicated practice and teamwork. The preparation process extended beyond mere rehearsals; it fostered cooperation, unity, and mutual support among all mentees. As a mentor, I gained invaluable insights into my mentees' strengths and areas for improvement. One significant realization was discovering that my mentee, Younten Thie, is an exceptionally talented dancer. Without this event, I might not have recognized his potential, along with the talents of several others.
The Mentoring Night was more than just a performance; it was a learning experience for both mentors and mentees. It allowed me to observe, understand, and support my mentees in ways that extended beyond academics. Through this event, I could analyze their dedication, confidence, and willingness to step out of their comfort zones. Our group’s efforts were rewarded as we secured the 9th position, which is a significant achievement considering the level of competition and the hard work put into our performance.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the school administration and the cultural coordinator for organizing such a meaningful event. Their dedication and effort in providing students with this platform truly made the night memorable. Events like these not only foster collaboration but also enhance students' confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills, which are essential for their overall development.
Lastly, a special thanks to the Gewog Faculty and Panang Faculty for gracing the event with their presence. To all the parents who attended, your support means the world to your children. Your encouragement and involvement in their journey make a significant impact on their confidence and aspirations. Thank you for being a part of this celebration of talent, unity, and mentorship!
