It has been a pleasure to welcome your child back to school. We hope you had a lovely summer holiday. We are looking forward to a jam-packed year full of learning. We have many interesting topics to explore in Primary 7.
Each week, spelling words will be displayed on Google classroom – please encourage your child to practise their words using some of the suggested activities.
Reading groups will start this week and books will be issued to each child. Children will have set reading each week, please look out for the books coming home so you can hear how your child’s reading is progressing.
P.E will be on a Wednesday and Thursday each week. Can pupils please come to school wearing their P.E kits along with their school jumper.

We have had a very productive week in P7C. We completed our class charter after looking at the UNCRC, made place value posters, wrote our house captain speeches and finished our first class novel 'A long Walk to Water'. Looking forward to another busy week next week.

The children designed a learning pit to demonstrate how you might adopt a growth mindset attitude towards learning.
We have been busy choosing our class prefects for this term, please see below. Oliver and Adam completed their House Captain speeches and were chosen to be our House captains. The class had a vote for our class rep, well done to Erin.

We have had another busy week in P7C. Some of the things we have been learning about this week are:
>The countries involved in WW2
>Evacuation during the war. We wrote evacuation letters on Thursday.
>Negative numbers in numeracy
> the 'tial' pattern in our spelling.

Friday 6th October
Over the last few weeks, P7C have been making spitfires. We watched and followed Mr Connels videos, there were two parts .They are looking really good . We did not show all of them because there are SOOO many. by Ella and Harley 😛😆
Friday 29th September
We decided to write about the highlights of the week
😁On Monday we made propaganda posters for topic.
😶 On Tuesday we were finishing off our WW2 leaders presentations.
😀 On Wednesday we started working on our spitfire line drawing for our WW2 topic.
😍 On Thursday we were continuing to play our hockey matches for PE in preparation for our tournament on the 4th and 11th October.
🤩On Friday we went to assembly listened well.

On Tuesday we learned about VJ day (victory in Japan day) it was very interesting. 🧐

On Friday we did had an assembly and we learnt about recycling .

Our class topic is Mexico and we have been learning about Day of the Dead and making Aztec masks. In maths we have been focusing on triangles and looking at different angles. In numeracy we have ben working on multiplying and diving. Lucian
