P7A Mr Love
This term we are learning about (and engaging in) government, politics, debates and current issues.
7A have looked at the political spectrum and have formed their very own, brand new political parties!
In P7A we sit and work in cooperative team tables. These tables change every term.
This helps us to work together to solve problems, research topics and present our work to the rest of the class.
Here are a very small selection of some of our very vibrant (and wonderfully named) team tables banners!
7A are lucky to have art with Mr Connell on a Tuesday.
We created our own versions of famous Mexican deities.
Adding colour really made the art stand out. Superb work 7A!
As part of our Mexico topic we created our own codices made up of a combination of text and images.
7A had a go at creating short and simple stories based on some codex images that we found through research.
When we translated our codices we found that we had written some pretty wild and silly stories!

This term we are looking at Mexico and the Aztecs as part of our topic unit. Watch this space for some fantastic art, writing and maybe even cooking from P7A.
For Scots week we were really lucky to have Ruaridh play his bagpipes. He was fantastic! He played for both the upper campus and the infant campus...that is over 20 classes! Great work Ruaridh :)
Our House Hero of the week is Kyle for his superstar writing - well done!
P7A Shout Outs this week go to Sam and Jessie for their brilliant attitude to work - well done!
P7A have been looking at some different Scottish Scientists this week.
We learnt about: Alexander Fleming, Elsie Inglis, John Muir and the work that helped create Dolly the sheep.
We looked at the art style of Nick Sharratt and used this to help us create these super pop art portraits!
P7A also worked independently on creating a Google Slide presentation on a Scottish scientist of their choice.

P7A have been thinking about COP 26 and the impact it could have for us all. We used this as a springboard for our Global Sustainability topic and subsequent science work.

In HWB we have been learning about substance misuse. We have been finding out about different drugs and the ways in which they affect the body and mind.
In P7A we have been learning about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We used this to help us build our own P7A Class Charter.
