Turkey - Anamur District Directorate of National Education

Anamur District Directorate of National Education is the official representative of the Ministry of National Education in the district of Anamur and is the first-hand executive of the duties and responsibilities of the Ministry. It is responsible for planning, executing, developing and auditing practices by evaluating all educational activities in the district. As the regional education authority, it can take part in all kinds of local, national and international projects with its 60 schools, 13000 students and approximately 1000 teachers. 

Our institution's priorities are to support participation in projects based on SEN, immigrants, teaching foreign language,STEM etc. to provide the necessary support by encouraging the participation of educational staff and students in international projects in order to achieve a European Union standard education quality, and to lead the expansion of their horizons through intercultural interaction.

In order to ensure the integration of our immigrant students, whose numbers have increased rapidly after the Syrian War in 2011, into education and for them to receive uninterrupted education, national level trainings are organized for teachers. We organize supportive trainings for our teachers for classroom management and linguistic development in more inclusive, multicultural and multinational classrooms. It is very important for us that each disadvantaged student is easily integrated into both education and society. For this, we support the integration of these students with linguistic, socio-cultural and psychological support.
