Cerveteri is an economically and socially disadvantaged area so the school answers to the social needs focusing on the social situation and paying attention to the awkwardness of students and parents, making them feel more comforted through the involvement in special activities. 

Istituto Ccmprensivo Cena provides general education to students from kindergarten to low secondary school students until the age of 14. There are 83 teachers and 5 people in the administration. The students are 780.

Thanks to the funds of the National Plan of Recover and Resilience act. 4.0, 15 innovative environments are currently under construction. There are also a STEM lab and a computer lab. In the school a special attention is given to the language of music. The school is a registered Trinity exams centre to certificate the English language skills and to improve student’s skills.

At Cena Institute,"MOVI-MENTE" project has been activated since 2021,to involve pupils of all ages,in musical and physical

activities. In 2022 with the Erasmus project MIS,we worked on inclusion through music with our partners. In 2018 the school participated in an Erasmus project to realize international concert and through a survey carried out at the end of the project,the result was that the pupils had acquired more interest in music. In 2014 we realized through the Erasmus project EWW,several clil lessons which are still in use. In the school there are experts in teaching ICT and digital resources,as so as English teachers who currently use clil lessons to integrate different contents and language.We usually organize teacher training courses to integrate language and music in our lessons. All this, to improve the quality of teaching to make the school a place where the students feel good, where to learn with motivation and to acquire skills they need in their life.
