My name is Valentina, and I'm not just a teacher—I'm a language explorer. I have a solid background as a passionate educator of Spanish and English.
I am an enthusiastic, qualified MFL teacher with a BA and MA degree in MFL, a lifelong learner and an ambitious linguist.
I have qualified and worked in England and am currently based in Italy, teaching in secondary state schools.
A Journey Beyond the Classroom
My love for languages isn't confined to textbooks; it's a deep-rooted passion that has led me on incredible journeys. I've lived, studied, and worked in Granada and the Cadiz province, immersing myself in the vibrant tapestry of Spanish culture. These experiences sharpened my linguistic fluency and provided me with invaluable insights into the nuances of customs and traditions. My dedication culminated in achieving the prestigious DELE C2 certificate, solidifying my proficiency in Spanish and going after my CPE in English. Then, I decided to challenge myself and follow my passion for teaching in England, where I achieved my QTS and finished my induction year.
Teaching Excellence and Innovation
My journey led me to teaching, where I've had the privilege of guiding students through their language adventures. From KS3 and KS4 students to adult learners, I've crafted engaging materials and delivered dynamic lessons that empower my students to realize their full potential. With experience in international state secondary schools, I bring a natural, cultural sensitivity and effective communication skills to the table.
Bridging Digital Divides
One of my proudest achievements has been spearheading digital learning initiatives. By embracing online learning activities, tools, and platforms, I've tailored instruction to suit diverse learning styles. Fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, I've created successful learning unit projects that elevate overall learning experiences.
This page aims to keep track of my CPD and how I put knowledge into practice. I will share ideas and resources for lessons from observation of other teachers, webinars, and courses, exchange of views on social media, etc.
I believe in the power of sharing and giving constructive feedback, which makes teachers good professionals, humans, and models.
