Good Luck Ducks - Through Wednesday Afternoon

Our very own Coach Aleah is running the Good Luck Duck fundraiser for Swim Across America to help cancer research & prevention. 

Given the rescheduled meet on Monday, we are running a bit behind on getting this info out to you all!

How it works:  

• Fill out the Google Form Here

• Pay Aleah via her Mom's Venmo ($5/duck):  @allison-zafft  (404-395-2608)  

• Your designated swimmer will get a cute duck with the personalized message wishing them well at Thursday's meet!

• Money is raised for a good cause!

• 4:30 - Marlins Arrival

• 5:00 - Dacula Warm-Up

• 5:30 - EDM Marlin Warm-Up

• 5:35 - Bubble Heat Swimmers to Staging

• 5:45 - Bubble Heat (Mini/Blue Marlins) - NOT CONFIRMED BY DAC YET

• 5:45 - Timer and Stroke and Turn Meeting

• 6:00 - Meet Starts Promptly

Our 5rd Meet is AWAY at Dacula Dolphins!

Bogan Park: 2723 N Bogan Rd NE, Buford, GA 30519 

Parking: Please park in the main Bogan Park Aquatic Center Parking Lot.  Pool Entrance is the left of the main entrance.

Bullpen & Seating

●       Swimmers and spectators will be located on the outdoor patio (grassy area).
➤ Please bring chairs, blankets/towels, and bug spray.
➤ Canopies are recommended, as shade is limited.

Staging & Spectator Guidelines

●       Each team will be assigned bleachers on deck for swimmer staging. Please ensure no spectators sit in areas marked “Swimmers Only.”

●       Spectator access is limited. Entry to the pool deck is allowed up to two events prior to their swimmer’s event.
➤ No chairs on deck.
➤ Spectators must return to the outdoor seating area after their swimmer’s race.

Restricted Area Reminder

The indoor play pool is separated by glass doors. While the doors will remain closed, no swimmers or spectators are permitted in this area.

Restrooms & Facilities

Locker rooms are available with showers and full amenities. Please follow posted signage for designated walk paths to minimize deck congestion.

Concessions

DAC is happy to announce that concessions will be set up outside.

●       Beef Hot Dog  – $2.00

●       Pizza slice- $3.00

●   Popcorn- $2.00

●   Chips-$1.00

●   Soda-$1.00

●       King of Pops will be selling frozen treats from their pushcart.

Volunteer Roles

MEET REQUIREMENT

• We require at least (1) representative from each family (age 15 & up) to cover a volunteer shift for every meet your child attends.

• Assigned volunteer positions are subject to last minute change. We appreciate your understanding!

SHIFT COVERAGE

• If a representative from your family cannot work your assigned shift, it is your responsibility to find a substitute.

• Please try reaching out to your Big/Little Fish family or other members of the team!

• Another option is hiring a volunteer shift babysitter! (15 years or older, please)

CHECK-IN

• If you cannot arrive by 5pm, please email volunteer@edmswim.com in advance to let our Volunteer Coordinator know your estimated arrival time.

• Failure to show up without notice will result in a fine of $100.

LAST MINUTE CHANGES

• If your swimmer is ill – vomiting, diarrhea, fever, coughing, etc. – or there is a last minute emergency and you cannot find a substitute for your shift, please email ALL three email accounts:
