Guitar

The course will provide students with beginning guitar techniques including tuning, note reading, scales, chording, music theory, basic accompaniment styles. Students will learn accompaniment styles using strumming and finger‐picking; riffs; how to read tablature; how to read musical notation and find notes on the fingerboard; basic music theory; and scales. Learning will be demonstrated through skills assessments and teacher observation.

Students must provide their own acoustic guitar. This class is designed for students with no previous guitar background.
