Saxon lessons are short and new information is presented a little at time.
Specific topics are not limited to a certain chapter, but are taught throughout the school year; instruction repeatedly spirals back to review topics and teach new steps. Look at the table of contents in one of the books to see how.
Although spreading out instruction on topics can provide more time to absorb information, learning new concepts with Saxon might more difficult for some students because the lessons are are often not linked logically with the previous ones.
Most of the practice problems are on topics from earlier lessons.
