Life Skills Instruction & School Based Enterprises

Life Skills classes are designed to introduce, systematically teach and apply daily living skills and pre-vocational skills essential for personal independence. Instruction is provided through classroom teaching, community-based experiences, and vocational training. Through real-life experiences or simulations, students develop transferable skills to their everyday lives.

School Based Enterprises (SBE): a simulated and/or actual business conducted by a school. An SBE is an entrepreneurial operation or set of activities in a school setting that provides goods/services to a market of consumers. It is operated by students under the supervision of school staff that provides a financial, social and educational benefit to the students, school and community.

Each of our middle and high schools have developed one or more school based enterprises.

Each of our middle and high schools have developed their own SBE.
