World Washing Hand´s Day - 15th of october
Preparation
The pupils put fresh milk from a farm into a jar and left it in the warm room to see what happens. The milk changed on the surface. It got a yellow structure.
They took a sample of the milk funghi to observe it on microscope.
Results
After 5 days, the yellow surface got thicker. 9 days after, the milk changed its stucture and smell and on the day 12, it was completely different from the beggining.
Students made microscopic preparations of mold fungi that controlled the spoilage of improperly stored food. They observed them under microscope and learned about the units, functions and characteristics of fungi.
Preparation
The pupils collected samples from different surfaces (coins, nose, slide, hands, books, ...) in order to check if there are microorganisms in there. The samples were inoculated into the bread slices and growth medium.
Each week they observed and registed the visible growth of micrrorganisms.
The pupils observed the presence of microorganisms' activity on milk.
After a few days the milk start degraded which is a signal of microorganisms activity.

Preparation
Pupils examinated microscopically bread mold, water samples, fruit mold, milk fermentation and yeast.
They took a small portion of the mold using tweezers or a sterile needle and they saw the wonders of the tiny universe.

Preparation
Two piece of cheese at outside temperature
The pupils put two pieces of cheese outside where the temperatures were lower, so the aging process was longer. We placed one piece inside the bag and one outside the bag.
Two tangerines at outside temperature
We placed two tangerines outside, one in a bag and one outside the bag.
Two piece of bread at outside temperature
The pupils placed two pieces of bread out, one in a bag and one outside.
