Students in our year 6 classes are located within our secondary school site and work as part of our Middle School model.

Our year 6 program offers the support and strong focus on wellbeing which you would find in any year 6 class, but with the benefits of access to the facilities and expertise of a secondary school. Our year 6 classes work closely together and students have many opportunities to excel across areas of the curriculum.

A feature of our middle school program is the explicit teaching of academic behaviours which are essential to a successful secondary school education. Our teachers support students through the transition from primary to secondary school with a focus on study skills, time management and assignment planning. In supporting our year 6 students to enhance these skills, our teachers scaffold the transition into secondary school.
