When can I access the library to borrow books?

  • Years 7/8 have access to the library during Lunch 2 on Mondays and Wednesdays.

  • Years 9/10 have access to the library during Lunch 2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • Anybody can book in to get support with our librarians for lunchtime Fridays, but this must be by appointment (see .

  • Only 40 students will be able to come in during lunch times to borrow. If we reach the maximum then you need to wait until somebody leaves.

  • Access to the library at lunch is via your year cohort courtyard. This is also where you need to wait if the library is full.

  • The library is closed before and after school, and during recess.

Requesting books

  • If you want to request a particular book to be put aside, please use Oliver, our library booking system.


Printing and ICT support

  • Printing is still available in the library. You MUST have a note from your teacher. Please wipe down the printer touch screen after use (wipes provided).

  • ICT support is still available in the library. You MUST have a note from your teacher to see Mr Meldrum.

Requesting help

  • If you need help with assessment pieces then use the librarian booking form to request a time.

Wet Weather

  • Are these points below still relevant?

  • On wet weather days the library will be open to Year 9/10 students for all of lunch, it is still closed during recess.

  • The Library is not an eating area. You must eat your lunch elsewhere before entering the library.

  • Only 70 students will be able to come in during wet weather lunches.

  • You must find a spot to sit with your friends.

  • Anybody not following instructions will be required to leave.

  • To prevent mixing of cohorts, Years 7/8 students will not have access to the library during wet weather, even if this would normally be a borrowing day. You will have to wait until the next fine weather opportunity for Years 7/8 access to the library.
