Our school cleaning program includes regular cleaning and sanitising of high touch surfaces, frequently used objects, and shared equipment throughout the school day.

Daily and weekly cleaning plans provide for systematic cleaning and sanitising of work surfaces and furniture (e.g. classroom desks and chairs).

Cleaning of shared equipment in classes will also be undertaken (e.g. wiping down shared Science equipment, cleaning of shared sporting equipment, etc.).

A number of faculties provide and use shared equipment to support student learning, for example:

• • Health and PE - sporting equipment

  • Design and Technology - tools and equipment

  • Food Technology - kitchen utensils and cooking equipment

  • Science - equipment used to conduct Science experiments

Many of these faculty areas have well established processes for the cleaning of used equipment.

Students may be asked to use wipes to clean a tool or piece of equipment after use so that it is ready for the next person.

Cleaning of high use / rotation equipment, especially if it needs to be shared across junior and senior cohorts, will be undertaken.
