Good Hygiene

Hand and respiratory hygiene

  • Schools will maintain and promote appropriate hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene practices. Students should wash hands and use hand sanitisers throughout the day. Appropriate signage is on display around the school.

  • Hand sanitiser will be available in every classroom and at strategic points around the school corridors (including new non-touch auto dispensers).

  • REMOVE? Several classrooms have sinks with hand wash facilities (e.g. Science labs, kitchens). Upon entry to these classrooms students will be asked to wash their hands before the commencement of class.

  • Students continue to follow other measures like:

      • avoiding touching their eyes, nose and mouth

      • coughing into their elbow / sneezing onto a tissue

      • discarding used materials like masks and tissues into a bin

      • washing their hands or hand sanitising before you eat

      • washing their hands or hand sanitising after going to the toilet

      • not sharing food or drink

  • Water bubblers have been closed. Students are strongly encouraged to bring their own drink bottle to fill from the water re-fill stations located around the school.

  • Students cannot leave the school premises through the school day to access food or drink from nearby shops.

  • Students cannot arrange delivery of food to school (e.g. UberEats, Deliveroo, etc.). Any such deliveries will be confiscated.
