2023 Engineering Gift Guide: This guide is published by the INSPIRE program at Purdue University.  The INSPIRE Research Institute for Pre-College Engineering seems like a really interesting resource for kids and families who are interested in pursuing engineering into college and beyond.

Summer Programs

• Beam Camp: A 4-week summer camp for builders and makers in New Hampshire.  Several Fieldston families have been and they all love it. (middle and high schoolers)

• Manhattan College Summer High School Engineering Programs: Manhattan College, literally a 5 minute wall from the Fieldston campus.  They are well-known for their engineering programs and they opened the new Higgins Science and Engineering Center in 2021.  Programs range from 2 days to 7 weeks long. (high school only).  There is also a Residential Summer Engineering Program for High School Students, a 7 day summer program targeted primarily at students who live outside NYC.  Students are housed at Manahttan College and focus intensively on several different domains of engineering.

New York Tech's Middle School Maker Academy: a weeklong summer camp that runs at the New York Institute of Technology.
