Need to sign up on http://www.encounter.org.au (on right it says "Is this your first time here?" - create a new account. Follow instructions to complete training.
All new staff are required to create an account on the AITSL website below. (Click on the picture which will take you there). This website houses the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers of which you need to be aware of.
We ask also that you complete the Teacher Self-Assessment Tool, as this will be used as a guide in your Appraisal with the Principal in Term 1 and 4 of each year.

Please Note: Records are to be filed and retained in the school for various periods as outlined. All records are kept in the front office area. Some records that are specifically for classroom teachers include:

Instructions for using the photocopier:
Lightly tap screen to 'wake' it up
Press the 'Papercut' icon on the display touchscreen
Press the 'ID Password' icon
Enter your password - this will be your initials, followed by two numbers (eg EK22)
For basic photocopying, the machine will display an icon that states "Use Device Functions" - this will allow you to place original copies into the machine to copy. Press the number of copies you would like, followed by the green button. Copies can be collected to the left of the machine.
For releasing jobs that have been sent to the machine: - once you have entered your password, the machine will recognise that you have print jobs ready to be released (or printed). Simple select the jobs you wish to print by touching the display screen and then the word 'print'; or select 'Print All'. Copies will be released to the left of the machine.
Any jobs that you do not wish to print, select the job by touching the display screen, followed by the the 'Delete print' icon.
Enter door using school key (alarm will start beeping)
Head to key pad and fold down covering flap
Enter your 4 digits pin code
Press 'OK'
Press 'OFF' for the area that you are in (this will automatically be displayed)
If you wish to unlock any other areas, scroll through the choices using the up and down arrows
Once you have found the area/s that you want to unlock, simply press 'OFF'.
Leave keypad once you have unlocked the areas required.
NB: Please contact Bruce Wareham to obtain your 4 digit pin code
The same process is required for alarming the school, however you will press 'ON' to set the alarm.
NB: Each teacher is required to obtain 20 hours of professional development - 13 hours are gained through ASVAC, and several extra hours are obtained by attending staff meetings that hold professional development opportunities.

Gain permission from HOS or HOP
HOS /HOP to enter it onto Google Parent Calendar (secondary) Staff calendar and staff whiteboard
Relief staff to be sought by Kristen Judd or Tanya Pascoe
Planning for day to be sent through to Kristen Judd or Tanya Pascoe
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Staff member attending PD needs to inservice remaining staff at the next GSM
Term 1 - Complete Staff Appraisal form. Each staff member set themselves one goal, the school will set two.
Term 2 - Individual appointments with HOS/HOP or Principal to discuss goals and steps to be taken to achieve these set goals.
Term 3 - Individual catch up sessions with HOS/HOP or Principal
Term 4 - Complete Staff Appraisal form. Each staff member needs to reflect on their goals during the year.
Make contact with your Daily Organiser or HOS/HOP
If sick for more than two days, ensure you get a medical certificate from your doctor.
If you are sick the day before or after a long weekend or the school holidays, ensure you get a medical certificate from your doctor.
If you are unwell due to an incident that occurred at school, complete a Incident Report (from Solv - see link below)
If school is taking it's toll on you, please talk opening with the Principal, HOS/HOP or your departmental leader or complete the RUOK? form below. It is imperative that we know how your are going.

Once you choose a slot, the booking appears in your calendar, and in the Theatrette resource calendar. If anyone has already made a booking, the Theatrette will show as unavailable for that time, and the booking slot is also unavailable

To add the Library Theatrette calendar to your list of calendars:
1) go to http://calendar.google.com
2) Choose “add calendar”
3) Select “browse resources"
4) Subscribe to the "Library Theatrette" resource and the “LRC Classroom” resource
You will then be able to see all the bookings and appointment slots on the calendar.

To order the bus, please do the following:
Complete EOTC form and have it signed by Mr Borgas (or Mrs Pascoe for Primary)
Upon acceptance of EOTC form, email Dermot Hardwick to order the bus/es: bus.business@ec.vic.edu.au
Inform Dermot of:
a) the number of students and adults requiring
transport by bus,
b) the date,
c) the departure and arrival times, and
d) the destination address.
Await Dermot's response
This all needs to be arranged at least 4 weeks before the excursion so necessary arrangements and changes can be made, if necessary.
