Fall/Spring Applicants Must Have Transportation
INTRODUCTION OF STUDENT AND BUSINESS PARTNER
27 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION ALIGNED TO THE LDOE WORK-BASED LEARNING GUIDELINES
STUDENTS WILL WORK 106.2-155 HOURS AND EARN AND HOURLY WAGE OR A STIPEND
A CERTIFIED TEACHER WILL CONDUCT JOB SITE OBSERVATIONS THROUGHOUT THE EXPERIENCE
STEP 1: APPLY IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A JOB OR IF YOU NEED A JOB
STEP 2: IF ACCEPTED YOU WILL RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT SCHEDULING AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION THAT MUST BE SUBMITTED. STUDENTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES TO BE ACCEPTED:
Priority Placement for rising seniors 25-26
EBR School Enrollee
Fall/Spring: Student must have transportation (Summer Internship has a transportation provided option)
Students must have 11th or 12th grade status.
Students will apply through a portal and be placed in classes based on job-status, business partnership availability, and Industry Based Credential obtainments.
Have a valid Social Security Card
Have a valid State Issued ID
Must be able to complete an application of employment
Be on track for graduation
Must have a good attendance record
Must have a good discipline record
Must ensure that extracurricular activities do not interfere with your internship schedule
Be willing to submit to a background check and fingerprinting performed by the Louisiana State Police if required by company
Be willing to submit to a drug screen if required by company
Students will be enrolled in the appropriate internship course code at their home-school site and during summer school.
Have transportation* to and from work during the academic school year internship program.

Note: You’ll notice the Juneteenth Holiday and week of July 4th are not scheduled days for our student interns. However, students may work Monday – Wednesday during the week of July 4th. The week of July 21 – 24, 2025 may not be a full work week. It is designated as an opportunity for students to attain any remaining hours needed to satisfy the 155 hours. This can vary based on attendance throughout the program.
