SUPER SENIOR SATURDAYS

Criteria or acceptance:

Must have already earned one IBC towards the basic bundle or advanced credential.
Must be a current senior.
Must NOT be currently enrolled in a class that offers to the same credential.
Must NOT get out of school early except for Internship students.
Students must provide their own transportation
Students must apply here, will be accepted, and must confirm attendance.

What: An Opportunity to accelerate our seniors to ensure they graduate with Basic Bundle or Advanced Credentials

When: Saturdays from February 21, 2026 to March 21, 2026 (February 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21 from 9 am - 12 pm)

Stipend Information: Students will earn a stipend of $500 for attending ALL classes AND passing the IBC.

Why are IBCs important?

Strengthening Academic and Technical Rigor: IBCs require students to master industry-level standards in fields such as health sciences, IT, engineering, business, or digital media. This involves critical thinking, applied math, scientific reasoning, and problem-solving, which directly reinforce academic skills needed in university coursework.
Building College-Ready Learning Habits: To earn an IBC, students must often study independently, meet performance benchmarks, and pass certification exams—mirroring the self-directed habits expected in higher education.
Expanding Dual Enrollment and Credit Opportunities: Many IBCs are aligned with dual enrollment or articulation agreements between high schools, technical colleges, and universities.
Deepening Career Relevance and Motivation: IBCs help students connect academic learning to real-world applications, increasing engagement and clarity about their future goals.
Providing Financial and Access Advantages: Students who earn IBCs may qualify for scholarships, advanced placement, or paid internships, making university more affordable and attainable.
