Dear Parents/Carers
The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit from ZooLab, where they had the exciting opportunity to hold and observe a variety of animals, including a snake, stick insect and millipede. We also met a frog and a tarantula! Please keep an eye out on Instagram and Tapestry for the pictures.
In Maths, the children have been learning about subtraction. They have been using practical resources and pictures to help them understand how quantities become smaller when items are removed. We have introduced the vocabulary 'subtract', 'take away' and 'decrease', and the children have been practising writing subtraction number sentences to represent their learning.
Thank you for sharing your children's silly sentence writing on Tapestry. The children have loved sharing their work with the class, and it has been wonderful to celebrate their achievements together. Regular writing practice at home is a great way to build confidence and develop the skills they will need as they prepare for Year 1.
Thank you for your continued support.
