Team calder & Loxley (year 5)

Good afternoon, 

Teams Calder and Loxley have worked incredibly hard over this half term and it has been lovely getting to know them all. They all deserve a well-earned rest!

First week back:

Monday will be a DT day where the children will be designing and making Egyptian pyramids.

English: We will be writing an information leaflet about Fair Trade. 

Maths: We will be starting our learning on negative numbers.

Curriculum: We will be starting our new topic on how the world is connected through trade links. We will be looking at where food is imported from.

PSHE: The children will be thinking about what they would like their life to be like in the future.

P.E is now every Tuesday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).  

Homework will be not be set this week.

If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
