Reception (Nidd & Swale)

WEEKLY UPDATE

Good afternoon,

As we come to the end of a busy term we would like to celebrate the wonderful start the children have made to their Reception journey! It has been such a joy to see them so settled and making amazing progress across all areas of their learning. We would like to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support this term, especially for the time you have spent supporting your children with their reading and phonics at home. Congratulations to Sunday and Arabella in Team Swale for winning our reading at home prize. Team Nidd - you will be having a roll-over week! We have a list of who has been reading at home this past week and look forward to choosing two fantastic readers. 

Below you will find an outline of what we will be learning in phonics when we return back to school. 

Please check Tapestry for an update on your child’s learning and for some ways you can support them during the holidays. A gentle reminder to book a parents’ evening slot if you haven’t already — we’re looking forward to sharing all the fantastic progress the children have made in their reading, writing and maths learning alongside our other curriculum areas.

We hope you all have a lovely, restful half-term break, and we look forward to seeing you back in November for another exciting half term of learning and fun!
