Dear Families
I am sure you will have noticed our new picnic tables on the school field. The children are thoroughly enjoying using them and they are making a difference to how children feel about playtime and lunchtime because of the additional activities we can have out. We would like to start to build up a collection of lego which can be taken out for children to play with, if you have any lego you no longer use and would be happy to pass on to school we would be very grateful. The picnic tables have been purchased as a direct result of the money raised from the mini marathon that the children took part in, I would like to thank Mrs Danbury for organising the purchasing of the picnic tables and working hard to ensure we had them in place as quickly as possible.
You may have also noticed that Mr Welburn continues to be very busy in our sensory garden area, it is hard to believe that just over a year ago it was overgrown and no child was able to access it. We now have a gate to give us access whenever we require it, inside we have one of our new picnic tables, several bug hotels and a pond (all of which Mr Welburn has built) and we are just in the process of purchasing paving stones to ensure the area is accessible to all of our children. The children are starting to use this space and it's supporting many areas of our curriculum.
Have a lovely weekend, with very best wishes
Mrs Winter
If you have a concern about the safety or welfare of a child in school please contact myself,
Mr Metcalfe or Mrs Danbury who are the safeguarding leads.
Please can we ask that your child does not ride their bikes or scooters on the school grounds.
Children are not play on the wooden trim trail before and after school.
Children are not play football on the field and playground before or after school.
As the school continues to grow the playground is getting busier and busier and it is important we keep everyone safe.
We would also like to encourage parents and children to not cross roads where visibility is reduced to ensure that roads are clear before crossing.

Dear parents and carers,
Below I have shared the link to information that has been collated from North Yorkshire's pupil voice survey.
Every two years since 2006 North Yorkshire Council has done the Growing Up in North Yorkshire survey with children and young people in schools across North Yorkshire to find out what they think about various aspects of health, wellbeing and learning/education. The flyer aims to share the main findings from their last survey and to direct families to information, support and services that may be helpful.
Below I have shared the link to access the flyer for primary school children.
I have also posted the link to access the flyer for high school children as there is definite overlapping with our Key stage 2 children.
Both flyers contain lots of useful information and signposting fordifferent supports that are available.
Warm regards
Mr Metcalfe
