Good afternoon,
Team Calder have settled in brilliantly after the half-term break and have worked so hard on their challenge papers this week.
Maths and spelling homework has been set this week. Please let me know if you need homework printing.
Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to!
Next week:
English: We will be continuing to write a disaster narrative based on a tsunami.
Maths: We will be continuing with multiplying fractions.
PSHE: We will be thinking about the importance of being respectful to everyone and to recognise and care about other people’s feelings.
Curriculum: We will be starting our new topic on ‘When is Mother Earth not kind’ and we will be looking at what an earthquake is.
Science: We will be comparing the life cycles of living things.
P.E is every Thursday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Lazenby
