Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

The children have been working incredibly hard this week in English, where they have been learning about relative clauses to be able to vary their sentence structures to entertain their reader. Ask them about the 4 rules for using relative clauses. 

Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to! 

Coming up next week: 

English:  the children will be writing a second action scene for their Viking saga 

Maths - the children will continuing to look at fractions of an amount and how to find equivalent fractions 

Curriculum -  the children will be learning how the Vikings changed Britain when they settled here. 

Science - the children will be starting a new topic on Evolution and Inheritance 

PSHE - the children will be continuing looking understanding that everybody has their own version of personal space and that we need to be respectful of that

Homework:

Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up. 

Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week. 

Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
