The children have loved imitating their own alternative ending to Little Red Riding Hood and have become even more immersed in the Tudor's topic this week.

In English we are continuing to look at Traditional Tales. The children have focused on the ending of the story with a focus on conjunctions

Year 1 maths

Next week we are continuing our unit on additive structures and introducing subtraction

In Science, we are looking at animals including humans. We are learning all about skeletons from different animals.

Homework:

3 x reading- we ask your child to read three times a week at home and record this in your reading record. 

We also encourage your child to 'read for pleasure' at home. This can come in the form of story books, chapter books, information texts, magazines, ebooks. Please add any additional reading to your child's reading record as we love seeing the variety of texts your child is accessing out of school.
