I have worked in East Penn School District as a school counselor since 2024, prior to that I worked as a school counselor in the Coatesville Area School District.
I grew up in the Lehigh Valley and graduated from Arcadia University in 2011 earning my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. In 2014, I graduated from Arcadia University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in PreK - 12 School Counseling. At Wescosville, I work like to work with student, parents, teachers, and the local community to help students and families with their social-emotional health and behavioral and academic functioning.
In my spare time I enjoy going on adventures with my husband and 2 daughters. I also enjoy reading, watching Korean Dramas, sewing and watching soccer.
School counselors are highly trained and certified individuals who design and deliver school counseling programs that improve student academic, socio-emotional and behavioral outcomes.
Elementary counselors may meet with guardians to address student strengths, issues or special needs. They may meet with students to problem solve, teach new skills, or address concerns. They may meet with teachers to create a plan to address student needs. School Counselors may hold individual meetings, conduct small groups or present classroom lessons.
They lead, advocate and collaborate to promote equity and access for each and every student by connecting their school counseling program to the school’s academic mission and school improvement plan. They uphold the ethical and professional standards of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and promote the development of the school counseling program based on the following areas of the ASCA National Model®: Define, Deliver, Manage and Assess.
The Wescosville Angel Network is a support network of Wescosville parents, faculty and staff, and community members who share the goal of assisting Wescosville students and families during their times of need.
When Wescosville families encounter life complications such as loss of a job, illness, or death in the family, it can make it difficult for any child to succeed in school. The Wescosville Angel Network aims to provide immediate assistance, on a short-term basis, to Wescosville students who have basic needs that their families may be temporarily struggling to provide. These resources are gathered by the Wescosville Angel Network through our anonymous volunteer givers. Our goals are:
To support students’ ability to focus on learning in school
To provide help to Wescosville students and families during times of need.
To maintain anonymous generosity in the true spirit of community.
Some of the things that the Wescosville Angel Network has helped with in the past:
Clothing
Emergency support
School supplies
Toiletries
Meals
Holiday gifts
Summer resources
etc.
