Writing

This year we are using the Lucy Calkins Writing Series to help the students grow as writers and begin to love to write. They will be drawing inspiration from 'Master Writers'. Each day students will be writing and at the end of each unit, they will publish one of their writings. Students will learn how to how to write different types of pieces such as narrative, informational, & opinion.

Students will also keep a writing journal where they can choose a writing prompt to answer in at least 5 complete sentences.
