Parents: Do you remember learning another language in school? Learning another language is fun & exciting. At times, it can also be challenging. If you notice that your child is having difficulty with Spanish, remind him/her to talk with me, or please contact me directly. 

• Encourage  your child to talk with you about the current themes that we are learning. 

• Ask him/her to give you examples of phrases and vocab words that we are using.  

• See if you can identify cognates or make connections to English words together. 

• Quiz your student with Quizlet flashcards or practice with our Avancemos textbook's helpful activities together.

• Try one of my favorite language-learning apps called Duolingo. It's free...and it's fun!
