About me!

*Málaga, España

About Sra. Ardito:

I love Spanish -- speaking the language, learning about the many Spanish-speaking countries & cultures, and of course eating a wide variety of comida latina y española ;) Since it was always my favorite class in school, I majored in Spanish in college, lived and studied in Salamanca, Spain and became a Spanish teacher.  I've traveled to both Spain and Costa Rica several times with students. I traveled to Spain with Sra. Hess, Sr. Kutz and EHS students in March 2018. It was incredible!  Postponed because of Covid in March 2020, we went again in July 2022.  *Our NEXT TRIP  IS PLANNED FOR JUNE 2024. ASK ME ABOUT IT!

I also had the privilege to travel with the French and German classes in 2019. Europe is a spectacular place to visit! *See my Fotos page and ask me questions...I love to talk about my travels.

Teacher goals

My Happiness: Daily life gets busy, so I especially love and value time with my husband, my 2  daughters (also Penn Staters!),  my wonderful  parents, 2 sisters, 4 nieces & 1 nephew, my 2 adorable cats (Leo & Tony), my  great, big, Italian family & my awesome friends. I'm a proud sideline mom & avid beach-goer.  I love traveling the world, doing yoga & pilates, learning photography, cheering on Penn State, beach reading, bargain shopping, art museums, concerts AND eating Cali Burrito.  Also... ice cream (especially coconut almond joy) can make just about anything better :)

Personal goals: I consider myself a lifelong learner, not just academically but personally. I plan to continue to learn Italian and to learn about languages and cultures. My dream is to someday explore, take pics (selfies!) and eat my way through Spain and Italy with my family.

I look forward to a great year together! ¡Vámonos, amigos!
