The following career curriculum will be implemented during grade level English classes.
Overview:
High school students are expected to make decisions that will impact their education, families, lifestyles, and life satisfaction for years to come. This career curriculum will provide a comprehensive experience with the career decision-making process and provide a strong foundation for students to make the decisions that await them.
Students will:
Explain the concept of careers and work–life balance
Complete personality, values, and interest inventories to support career exploration
Develop strategies and explore resources that support career exploration
Discuss characteristics that support professionalism
Engage in career exploration activities
Create a career development plan
