Keith Gromis is in his tenth year at Eastern York High School, he previously served as high school band director and music teacher at Williams Valley Jr./Sr. High School in Tower City, PA. At Eastern York he has the privilege of teaching Music Technology and Recording Arts, Introduction to Guitar, Music Theory, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, and Stage & Theater Technology. He serves as the audio visual coordinator for the EYHS Performing Arts Center and works as the assistant director for the spring musical. A native of Central Pennsylvania, Gromis graduated from Hempfield High School in Landisville, PA, where he still resides. He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education Degree from the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College. While at Gettysburg, Gromis performed on string bass & tuba, and served as drum major for the Bullets Marching Band. In 2019 Gromis received his Master in Wind Conducting from Messiah College. 

Gromis has been privileged to study string bass under John Yerger & Duane Botterbusch, Tuba under Andy Hitz, and conducting under Russell McCutcheon, Alexander Kahn, & James Colonna, he has also been greatly influenced by Robert Zellner and Bill Powers. Gromis is proud to work with the Pennsylvania Lions Club as an assistant to the PA All-State Lions Band, which performs yearly at state and international conventions. He has also had the privilege of hosting several DCI group, festivals (York County Band, Schuylkill County Band, Lower District 7 Band, Region V Band, and PMEA All-State Orchestra), and guest artists as part of commitment to offering a multitude of musical examples and outlets for all students. Additionally, he serves on the executive board of the Cavalcade of Bands as Treasurer and works as the PMEA District 7 Band and Orchestra Audition Chair. Gromis has worked as an assistant and consultant for several central Pennsylvania marching and concert bands and is a member of several professional associations including NAfME, PMEA, NBA, AMA, PSEA, and EYEA.
