Each performer must prepare a solo or selection of a solo. The list of selected solos is linked to this page on the right, or can be found on the district 7 website. If you are interested in purchasing the solo music, be sure you are purchasing the exact edition specified on the webpage, or ask Mr. G to purchase the solo for you from Losers or Menchey Music.
Each performer MUST be prepared to play all of the major scales on their instrument (number of octaves per scale are outlined on the attached scale sheet on the right). These scales must be memorized and played at a steady beat of 120 BPM. You must be prepared to play them slurred (in groups of 4) or staccato. Also note that you will only be asked two major scales (one sharp and one flat) in the audition room, but you are required to play your chromatic scale(so you must know this scale VERY well).
