Beyond Silos: A Framework for Seamless Collaboration in Schools
School initiatives rarely fall short for lack of good ideas or good people. Instead, the real culprits are hidden "seams," the unseen failure points where decision rights are unclear, handoffs break down, or incentives quietly pull in different directions. These are often the true reasons behind a delayed rollout or a program that never delivered its expected impact. They show up everywhere in school life: between a strategic plan and daily classroom practice, between departments or grade level teams, between new leadership and long standing staff culture.
In this session, Jared Simmons will introduce the Seamless Innovation framework, a simple lens for spotting these failure points before they derail your next initiative. Participants will explore four core capabilities every team needs: a collaborative mindset, shared goals and principles, core skill mastery, and a single, clear process. They will leave with a practical way to diagnose where their own team or school is exposed to these seams, so they don't fall victim to the same setbacks again.
