Eanes ISD partners with Austin Community College to allow students to earn both high school credit and college credit in select courses (this is commonly referred to as "dual credit" or to "early college start"). When applying to colleges in fall of the senior year, students will need to submit an ACC transcript in addition to the Westlake High School transcript.
ACC grades will be transcribed as follows in accordance with our transfer grade policy, however they are not factored into a student's Westlake GPA.
A 95 B 85 C 75 D 70
Below are the courses you can take at ACC for dual credit.
Within 24 hours you should receive an email from ACC with your ACC EID number.
Do not do this until you have received your ACC EID number. You will be asked to login and complete an assessment at the end.
You may be exempt from TSI based on test scores.
SAT: EBRW-480+ / Math-530+,
ACT:
Beginning with the Feb 15, 2023 administration
40 combined ELAR; 22 Math
For administrations held prior to Feb 15, 2023
Composite 23 (19+ on both English & Math)
If you are not exempt, email assessments@austincc.edu to set up an online exam (you will need to include your ACC EID number and any previous TSI scores if you are retesting).
All students must complete this form, even returning students who have previously taken an ACC course.
**It will take 2-5 business days after you have completed step 5 to be cleared to register. You will receive an email from Ms. Williamson once you have been cleared by ACC to register for your classes.**
Summer Registration for new students and students with fewer than 15 credit hours begins April 3.
**It is not necessary to register for a class labeled 'Dual Credit'. Most courses labeled 'Dual Credit' are restricted to students in other school districts. You will still get dual credit for the course as long as you earn a passing grade and are enrolled in the correct course (ex. HIST 1302).**
