8:00 a.m. July 22, 2022 - The Red Hill fire is fully controlled. All resources have cleared the scene and are en route to home stations. The #UCRIFM would like to thank everyone who assisted with this incident. This is the final report.
Multiple wildfires (probable lightning strikes) reported across western Eagle County.

Thunderstorms passed over Gypsum and Eagle at approximately 2pm on July 19th, 2022. Shortly thereafter, multiple wildland fires were reported near the communities of Eagle and Gypsum.

Wednesday, July 20 at 11:58 Justin Conrad with the Upper Colorado River Interagency Fire Management Unit provided the following update:
19 acres
25 percent contained
No growth overnight
Fire is smoldering at this time
Approximately 50 firefighters on scene
Hose used on west flank, reinforced with retardant
Yesterday HAATS worked on hotspotting
Handcrews worked round top and heel of fire perimeter
Crews shifting to mop-up operations
Optimistic in containment by end of shift tonight
