(Updated  06.17.2024 incident has concluded and post will not longer be updated)

Warm temperatures forecast through June 9 will increase the rate of snowmelt across Eagle County.

Flows in rivers, creeks, and streams in Eagle County are forecasted to approach Action Stage. Importantly, flooding is not expected on roads or structures at this time. Dangerous river conditions may exist, and the public is urged to exercise extreme caution around county waterways.

Peak forecasts indicate portions of the Eagle River and Gore Creek are expected to crest over the Action Stage by the end of this week and continue to stay near that peak throughout the weekend. The Gore Creek through Vail is forecasted to exceed the Action Stage threshold by Friday evening and again Saturday night, with flows peaking late at night. The lower Eagle River through Gypsum is forecasted to peak near the Action stage Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.
