Middle school visual art provides students opportunities to experience a broad spectrum of art media, to evolve their appreciation of art in the community, and to gain exposure to careers in the visual arts.

High school visual art empowers students to apply an artistic mindset to solving problems creatively in their daily lives.

Students in secondary visual art will explore a variety of 2-D and 3-D media, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture and ceramics. Secondary visual art students experiment with different media, build a portfolio, make connections to art history, and even collaborate in community-based art projects. The secondary visual art program culminates in the AP Art + Design course, a rigorous class for which students can receive college credit.
