  • All students who will not be returning to Duncanville ISD for the 2020-2021 school year.

  • Any students who will be returning to Duncanville ISD for in person learning on campus.

  • Any students who will be learning at home for the first nine weeks, but are no longer in need of a device

  • All students who received a district Chromebook and will be using it for virtual learning in Duncanville ISD for the 2020-2021 school year.
    Collection information will be provided at a later date.

Cleaning a Chromebook

  • Never use any product containing alcohol, ammonia or other strong solvent to clean your Chromebook.

  • Do NOT spray or wipe your Chromebook with any Windex/household cleaner/water.

  • Clean your Chromebook keys and screen with a lightly moistened soft cloth.

  • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Student Expectations

  • Chromebooks will be assessed for damage and a Condition Form will be signed off by the student and staff member. Technology will attach this report to the device when returned.

  • Areas of the Chromebook that will be assessed for damage include, but not limited to: screens, hinges, bottom plastics, charger cord, charger port and keyboard. The school issued power cord must be returned. 3rd party power cords will NOT be accepted.

  • Students leaving the district will have their @dvilleschools.org Google account deleted at a future date. Remember to transfer files you wish to keep to a personal account. How to Backup Google Drive

What if I can't find my charger?

Bring the items you do have during the collection time and the district will provide you with an invoice to be paid for the lost charger.

What if I lost/damaged my Chromebook?

Bring the items you do have during the collection time and the district will provide you with an invoice to be paid at a later date for the lost Chromebook and/or damages.

What if I do not return my Chromebook?

Students who fail to return their loaner device, and/or have outstanding fees due to loss, theft or damage, may face legal action. If not returned, the district holds the right to report the device stolen and to file a police report.

What if I miss the return deadline on August 20, August 21, or August 24?

Call Technology at 972-708-2300 or email at techsupport@duncanvilleisd.org to schedule a time to drop off your device at the Technology Building.

Prior to returning a Chromebook, please review the following. If your answer is “YES” to any of these questions, refrain from returning the Chromebook at this time and notify the campus principal.

  1. Have you or someone living in your household or someone you are caring for been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?

  2. Have you had any close social contact (CDC defined as less than 6 feet) with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days?

  3. Have you or someone living in your household or a partner, returned from or made a connection through a CDC level 3 country (China, Iran, Europe, S. Korea, United Kingdom, Ireland) in the last 14 days?

  4. Do you currently have or have you had within the last 24 hours, any cold or flu symptoms and a fever greater than 100 degrees F (38 degrees C)?
